Great East Japan earthquake and tsunami Emergency response and recovery program

The Achieve Your Dream Project Has Started Fostering sports, music and cultural club activities in disaster affected areas (April 4, 2013)

In collaboration with Sony Corporation, and as part of the activities of the RESTART JAPAN Fund established for children from the areas affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake, Save the Children Japan (SCJ) launched the “Achieve Your Dream Project” on April 2, 2012. The aim of the project is to assist those children who will be responsible for the next generation to attain their dreams and overcome their challenges.

Part of SCJ’s disaster reconstruction support project is the recovery of learning opportunities for children in the disaster affected areas. Through the Achieve Your Dream Project, we encourage schools and communities to resume sports and cultural activities that had been interrupted by the earthquake, and also promote the start of new activities. By offering targeted grants and assistance to local organizations we aim to help children regain their joy in everyday life and to attain a positive outlook towards their future within their community.

The following is an overview of the Achieve Your Dream Project.
